Changing days

Sky is light blue

Someone zipped by

No falling snow

What we have looks thinner

Although it’s too cold to begin melting.

Tomorrow for sure we turn to higher temperatures

In from where

The ground is covered white completely

Not a warning; it must have snowed all night.

The bunnies were seen in their usual places,

Little behind three, New into one.

Here we go

line ‘em up

i have expressive and receptive aphasia.

how about that

it’ll be warm out  soon

Bright on the lawn

It’s cold and the morning light shines golden.

The three deer have left the backyard.

Twenty eight degrees now

Thirty two will be the high.

I think it’s cold for sleeping on the ground.

Haven’t regularly seen much of the deer

So we aren’t familiar with their habits ,

Not like our friends the rabbits

Thursday, February 15, 2024

Shine through it all

Keep pots and kettles clean

Dress for the occasion

Seems you’re seen in good light

Stay happy, sunshine

Wednesday, February 14, 2024

i was a fool

My song from the sixties came back

Along with New and Little, the missing rabbits.

Although it’s cold we’re on the right track.

No doubt we’ll fall into old habits.

Time riding well

How did I know I’d run

Into so many cowboys in Hollywood.

They had to be somewhere.

Like the actors  they’re everywhere

It’s hard to be a civilian and ignore them

Everywhere you go is the thick of it.

Playing the piano in my garage-studio

Kept me hidden away.

core thought

core thought

core thought
at home thinking a spark
where day starts,
all begins in the dark.

five this morning
playing piano in my head
figuring it out, doing the left hand,
making it better, keeping it tight, lying in bed.

and i said, time moves on, six-thirty; oh,
the sun is on the mask now, the stone medallion
over the door on the building opposite our window.
i’m up this instant and want to take a photo of it.

the mask is already
a few hundred years old
and i want to preserve it
forever, on celluloid? am i joking?

and i take one, it is blurry.
i take five, all are blurry.
for one minute some days,
some times i think of

these swans in stone, this family seal.
the sun kisses it brief moments, mornings
when it is sunny. if i am looking
at the right time, in the right month, i see it.

though, can’t think of it now, planning this day, i am.
have to make breakfast and shower,
then catch a train to pick up the car.
we’ll find a place to park it when we get here

back to where we start, some other hour
at the beginning, home again
at the beginning of the day
then, when the sun is rising

Blank time

A little warmth would feel fine.

Give us some good season to enjoy

We’ll take and give.

One third

Can clean the ledges

Wipe the edges

Note the grey comes through .

0n this darker morning

The month I was born in

Here is a fine hello to you.

So we carry the grey

Drag it through the sky

It’s the kind of day it is.

Hold on to your smile

We will persist

In two thirds the month to go

Eight is great

Did you see the space?

We’re goings to Smucker’s town.

This is a big deal , a little town an hour away

Out in the country.

Ready to float.

Open the moat

Ten spot

Coming and going this morning starts well.

We’re ducking sadness

We think yesterday we lost our bunny, or two.

We will see how days develop.

No quick decisions.

The full story develops.

Now we’re keeping alert for an early spring.

We’ve no snow here in February

 No longer a regular winter

Solid bearings

Empty street car beds

Silent rolling through nothing special

Give me a bay and a boat

Floating our way, we shall

Monday, February 05, 2024

First feb week

Seek out the peak

Just a quick squeak

Remembering tight waves we rode

Terry and I floating

Struggling to get by

We made it to another day

Sunday, February 04, 2024

Quick car go by Sunday morn

Blue lite sky bright

Silent as it should be.

Short white stiff grass

White truck goes by.

Days on

There you go

Time is splitting into pieces.

Doubling up, and down,

We can link it.

it’s sure worthwhile to have around.

Thanks for being my friend;

It has always been a treasure to know you.

Grandma’s birthday

My sweet grandmother, what a dear.

Always alert.

A kind soul.

Thursday, February 01, 2024

Whole note

The front end of February arrives

Fat and loaded

Filled to the brim

Starting in completion

Boasting a full pack

Held in good order

Ready for birds and plants

On this edge of spring.

Fine de Janio

Making soft plans

Exercising to be stretched

Not a movement fuori

All is quiet.

Winter is taking a break.

Climate change is happening .

A county vehicle went by

Too quickly to see the name painted on the truck.

Am ready to return in Italia.

Dry ok and good eating

Hills, distance, quiet ocean; art

Explore some. Read and write

Shake it out

Attendance runs weak today

Need a butter word for this slices

Wear your knit cap

Keep your head warm

Ride out of darkness

Keep your butter side up

Dance to the music.

Fillet of soul

Fill the platter

Darn the yarn

There’s no matter

Show your charm

Last night was the event

First it hit the roof

Scattered rain in a clout.

There was no doubt

Pounded my dreams

Left morning disheveled.

Clouds ran unguarded

Heard tapping up above

Or it came through the walls

Combined in my dreams

Perilous it seemed

Until morning had opened

Fearless and content

Saturday, January 27, 2024

No rain

Running through January when a rainless day is the event.

It seems we need sunshine for a week to dry out.

Quiet again, that’s for sure.

Seems the reason to celebrate.

Nothing moving; though we saw a blue jay.

Grey sky, nothing but grey sky’s from now on.

Bowling them down

Made room to continue

Without a frown

complete weekend menu.

Mark the days round

There’s candles and leather

Light as a feather

Sailing the bay

In all kinds of weather.

Mark it all down.

We’ll crew for you

The coffee is warm

Head with the wind

Thursday, January 25, 2024

Lean Jan, nothing left

Little caps, the rest gone.

Took care of that month.

More snow is a possibility

But don’t look for it right away

A few visible blots of white

Are more likely plastic bag pieces

Most everywhere is wet and soggy

It doesn’t look cold at all.

A car or two went by in speed.

Where to is the appropriate question

 Nothing special is going on

That’s the tune of the day

Wednesday, January 24, 2024

Looking the slate over

 snow is half gone

Put a mark on the wall.

You think it’s almost spring?

Experience tells me it’s way up ahead

Take your foot off the brake

Tuesday, January 23, 2024

Tajour is our dentist

Haven’t seen him for a while.

New year, same old when I get there

A piece of a my toothcap fell out.

Meri had a tooth wiggle

He’ll put us back together.

And She got glue, l’ll get a new bridge for three teeth.

Nice to drive here, back to norwhere

The old home land.

I feel love for the place, the park, the pool.

There’s joy to see Tabby and Self again.

Thirty minutes by car to home

There’s a pizza place around here I like.

Meri most always says no

Today she bought me a slice.

Week middle

Halfway tomorrow we’re set for the week mid point.

Today is white lying thick and still

Little moves now

Holy cow how quiet.

Need days for the bunnies to dry

  Stiff, Cold and silent

Bundle the days

Road is visible

Not all, not plenty, some road I see.

Where it should be.

How do you feel? It’s dring

I mean it seems about time , yours and mine, all of ours.

She shines on mine, on mine street

Si neat and on time

Morning to you, good day

Kelp out of the way

We are making tracks

Saw the police car go by

And the regular couple dog walkers

With their beige long hair dog

Sunday, January 21, 2024

On the left bank

The one that will turn warm.

Slowly may turn up the temperature

Little by little, we’ll follow along.

Tighten the package and keep in line.

Ahead we will have warming.

Now we take the snow cold another day

While they say it rains and warms starting tomorrow

No traffic or walkers

All are saving up

We’ve decided to take it easy.
