Storm ready

 It is barreling toward southwest Florida, 

they labeled it a category four, nearly five, hurricane.

I’m a two days drive north and yet the news is Florida.

How can anyone be ready for a hurricane?

Two and a half million people have been 

warned to evacuate, and now it is too late,

Authorities are saying “hunker down”.

There 442 thousand people in the affected area.

Weeds are tall

 Weeds are tall.

a veritable wall, not green 

at all, not now, holy cow it’s fall.

M undid the corral

We’re back to open range

Seems a little strange.

We’ll see if Little, the rabbit notices.

Could be good eating there,

now that the wire’s out of the picture.

Dry without color.

Why it’s called fall.

Time change

  Just pulled in

 the parking lot at the mall

when a small girl walked by.

She had the distinct and unknown

haunting features of someone

from several millinia ago.

Then she was gone.

Slept well as can be expected

 Made it to Monday after food and football.

Woke to sky clear and two bunnies in the back yard.

Cool weather now, holy cow;  last week we had great heat.

Now Fall season is upon us.

 One day soon when we awaken the leaves will be red.

Fresh apples and cider will be filling our head.

We’ll see horse drawn carts plus pies and tarts.

We have accepted the change

 Weather is our story. I didn’t make it up.

Fall is all around

We can take it.  

going to the fellowship.

We’ll see people.  

It’s a pot luck; m made a strada. Has eggs. Sounds like it is.

We’re fortunate.

For all undoings in this world we’re unharmed.

I’ ve changed shirts twice (It was my helpers idea).

Now I can begin thinking Sunday football.

And lunch.
