On a bench overlooking the ocean
a beautiful view on a Tuesday morning .
Gerry and I talked and sat out watching.
Seeing the natural order of all.
A good way to pass time and easily visit.
Two days to go, we’re ready.
Have clothes in order.
Are you seeing the daffodils lining the way?
They’re spring to summer reminders.
So are the white blossoms.
Maybe when we return the warmth will have begun.
Just hoping. That’s reasonable.
Meanwhile we’re checking everything again.
It’ll be good to see everyone.
All day piles of rain tumble down
Make yards and fields crowded with water ponds,
You know it’s better than snow around,
Seems rain is the way to go.
Kept me covered, over my head
Into quiet warmth so cozy
Thoughts turn to California
So fine, dear friends
Coming up.
A new kind of quiet pervades this area.
Relaxed and rebuilding this lot we occupy.
Rain all week, practically flooding is forecast.
And I’m looking at morning sunshine
Afternoon has cloudiness covering us completely
Half sunny in the morn.
Half clouded.
Six hours to go.
Strong shadows under bright sun.
Afternoon is unpredictable
Our seed is a three year old tree.
Living in a large indoor pot.
Watered and put in the sun.
Looking content.
I almost said happy.
There are days like that.
We will see how the sky develops
As we prepare for two days away
To get here in game spirit
Line full the bleachers for emotional chanting
Keep with high spirits
Bursting filled with joy
One speeding car, on a quiet morn.
Was damp some, lately.
Had a dream or two
On a mostly quiet night.
Slow going
I rose first.
In a while she’ll rise then
She’ll do coffee
Still as it is the eclipse is near
A few days to and unpredictable weather ahead.
Just when quiet seems the norm
Days like this are more still.
Unexpected in the whole.
Here in the middle
Our week is string
Wrapped in bunny talk
The divide appears softer
The heavy threat calms all
We have a chance to turn around
So prepare now foe either way.
I had this right in my head,
typed wrong and lost it when I looked.
should have looked many hours ago.
About now, right this very moment
Forecasters are turning their heads away,
Looking for a good movie to watch
Because no decent eclipse will be available
To be witnessed on the eight day of April in these parts
Or anywhere hereabouts, I do so verily
New shoes fit fine, look good.
I want her foot happy.
Now morning clouds set to clear.
Give us an all-right day.
Eclipse clear we’re talking
First off to Tajour, dentist-man
.
Been turning looking for rabbits
All around the yard they roam.
Not so predictable as before
But coming in unexpectedly.
A once in a lifetime eclipse is coming back,
This time straight down our street.
Just need a clear ten minutes.
We have a week to worry for an open sky.

last nights concert featured a
great mezzo soprano and piano
then player on a stand-up bass made in 1741
then came in the rest: trumpet, drums, accordionist,
an unknown instrument from Brazil,
this entirely gave and got a "wow".

everyone took solos.

they knocked my socks off
Starting regal
high above the seagull
soars an eagle.
from the field below is heard the lonely, baying beagle.
Last night I had it planned.
Meri watched five jumping rabbits this morning.
They’re more organized than we are.

Already rained hard this morning.
Will take my pills and start the day.
Sleep carried me through dreamland.
I’m set for rabbits in Spring.
