Wonder Bread believer

helped strong bodies eight ways
for about a year
before clever scientists
found four more ways

then Wonder Bread
helped build strong bodies
twelve ways, no kidding.
so why’d they quit?

it’s been fifty years now
and if i don’t hear something soon
i’m going to quit believing
in advertising.

This made me smile.

There's an old Wonderbread factory here in Columbus that used to produce the most delicious smells (truly).

I ride by one on the Harley every time I go to the Dealership to drool over chrome and leather. The smell helps me build a strong mind... twelve ways.

Hi Jack, I grew up on Wonder Bread, and I even put it into a poem a few years back. You could roll a single slice into the size of a round pill, but it tasted great slathered with butter or margarine, or with a glop of delicious egg salad. Should we believe their advertising? Well... On their web site, they claim they were among the first to sell bread fortified with vitamins. I remember the colorful packaging, of course.

Hi Jack, makes you wonder! We used to have a sliced bread here called Mother's Pride, I wonder what happened to that too...
