There, between the
Last house and the sky.
The sun is coming on.
Good morning.
poetry - jack sender - all of my life
i have to make new names to fill the spaces.
horses, cows, all the races.
can i back and patch it?
maybe salvage the rows and fragments.
comments i am now seeking.
grand clouds stuffed in the sky
on a familiar way,
one of it.
the clicking does stick,
knocking in dry air. understandiblly. holly-billy
i'd reccount. we can follow that
reasoning. tumbling behind.
moderately say it
sing less winding
November in a pile. without warning.
a light pack in.
all aboard.
sifting the light away.
steady
leaves are slick,
more than we've seen.
pile 'em thick, no in between.
all is wet.
honey, it’s fall again,
Leaves get ready
And we do too.
Blurs of color dropping.
it's large,
takes up all space.
that's why it's crowded.
both in here and out there.
why is this so,
and it confuses me.
i didn't mean for everything to be confused.
it should be simple.
can this be out of line?
i suppose so.
there you go
or here you come
the blogger has to spell,
and i hear many say the t in often.
it should be pronounced ofen. with a silent t.
more fun to say. ofen.
quit crawling into the t.
make it easy on yourself.
three or more inches of snow,
and this morning continues.
thick, persistent flakes fall.
steady down.
constant.
remember when it wasn't snowing.
Quite ready this quiet morning.
No body circling the pasture.
ten degrees and it seems colder.
we'll find who's about.
see the trees filled.
we saw rabbits last night and this morn.
cold and wet now. and we've two weeks until January.
the days are long. Darrel what did i say sixty years ago at Christmas break?
That we'd be back and wonder where the time went.
we've watched the weather coast
now December has about run out.
no snow has lasted, but the season is hardly past.
i suppose snow season may begin, any time, with short warning.
we'll see. yes we will.
keep your gloves handy.
snow on the ground will melt today.
all away. we've seen the last coming down.
nothing more have i to say, about snow.
gone, you know ... for this year.
getting ready now for pizza, and warm afternoons.
want to pass through the virus phase, come out the other side.
see friends face to face. the regular old human race.
go out for breakfast.
take our time rolling through the back-country.
watching the sun-shine,
and the corn grow.
snow and Rome in very cold weather.
here is cold, not Rome two thousand years ago.
been waiting winter, heard today it isn't officially here yet.
how much else do you need?
i think we're set.
i'll think on this.
it's nice out there
when you're fully bundled
and warm is how i'm wrapped.
crumpled in a package.
Good for taking me outside
up and down the drive.
feel alive. sakes alive
snowflakes
