check out time

quite a morning breeze
that knocked down
her favorite dark red hollyhocks
while she was looking
out the kitchen window

then she saw it leap
through the flowers
in blowing rain and heavy winds
that came for hours and hours
one more frog followed the exit sign
one more for the road

leaving only a pair
out there
a boy frog
and his girlfrog friend
loving right down
to the very end
