ode for deer

near the quiet town, New Haven,
three deer, to one side,
off the road
in tall grass, pause.
calmly look our way.
preeminent creatures.
standing without movement,
their beauty
took my breath away.

I've been surfing online more than 3 hours today, yet I never found
any interesting article like yours. It's pretty worth enough
for me. Personally, if all webmasters and bloggers made good content as you did, the
internet will be much more useful than ever before.

I enjoyed this poem, and it brings me the living memory of deer, standing still, just watching, while I hold my breath... The final line, to me, would read best, with the rhythm and imagery of the rest of the poem - a simple rearrangement - to read: "their beauty took away my breath."

or, "their beauty took my breath."
